Holding a Masters Degree in Health Education, 7 years community health experience, and a goal of becoming a Reiki Master; Yve’s focus is holistic health, wellness, and empowerment for all. After being diagnosed with Lupus in 2008, Yve narrowed her focus from healthcare management to health education and began encompassing all elements of wellness in her personal life, academic studies, and professional career. In 2010; she was awarded congressional recognition by the US House of Representatives for her efforts in participating & coordinating community health outreach with the Center for Bio-ethics Urban Health, & Policy at Temple School of Medicine. While serving as Program Director for a Philadelphia area nonprofit, she implemented portions of the Lets Move initiative, collaborated with community partners to increase healthy nutrition options & physical activity for the youth, in addition to creating new opportunities within the school district and community. In 2012, Yve began working to improve lung health and cure lung related conditions/diseases. She is now working on obtaining her C.H.E.S. certification, beginning Reiki classes, preparing to compete in her first adult gymnastics competition, and enjoying time w family and friends!!
As a contributor for PLUS in 2012 she interviewed industry heavy hitter & mogul Gwen DeVoe; MTV’s Chelsea Settles; and Tyra Banks/Seventeen Magazine’s Fiercely Real Winner Jakaline Rivera to name a few. In addition to working with PLUS, Yve has blossomed as a size 18 fashion and fit model signed to Reinhard Model & Talent Agency and MSA Models. Some of her clients include Chinoo Designs, David’s Bridal, Deb Shops, Destination Maternity and Eddy and Bri. We are excited to say Yve is truly beauty plus brains.
Yve believes health is not defined by a determined weight but more so when all elements of the mind, body, and soul are positively aligned. She is excited to merge her passion for health education, modeling, and empowerment with us in this new position.
