Bridge Models Launches Plus Size Men’s Modeling Division
The signing of Zack Miko to IMG Models was a groundbreaking move in the plus size modeling world that has paved the way for other plus size male models to get noticed by agencies and gain more media attention.

According to Euromonitor, menswear surpassed womenswear in terms of growth in 2014, the second year in a row and is expected to grow through 2019, at which point menswear is expected to contribute $39.7 billion in sales to the global apparel market.
Considering those tremendous numbers, it’s obvious that plus size male models are needed. The latest agency to deliver on that need is UK-based Bridge Models.
The plus size modeling agency recently announced that they have launched their own division devoted to male models:
“It is an exciting time in the industry. There have been a lot of changes and more recently, an increase in the demand for a wider range of men’s clothing sizes. We are pleased to see that the success of fashion for curvier women has broadened the debate and brands are seeing the potential to reach out to the male market as well. With this, comes the demand for a new scope of male models. As an agency keen to promote diversity, this is something that we have decided to enter into and it is great to be exploring the possibilities with our clients.”
The agency is not stopping there. To coincide with the new division launch, the agency has also partnered with Yours Clothing in their new model competition for their men’s line BadRhino. Bridge Models will be offering a 1-year modeling contract to the lucky winner.
To enter, eligible men just need to post a photo to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #BADRHINOMAN. The competition ends on June 1, 2016. For more information on the model search, click here.

“As a new clothing brand for big and tall guys, we are delighted to be partnering with Bridge Models to help us find the perfect man who really represents the BadRhino brand. Plus-size womenswear and models are now commonplace, but sadly the same cannot be said for men – we can’t wait to demonstrate that big and gorgeous guys exist, and that there is a place for them to shop!”

Model Ben Whit was the first to be signed by Bridge Models:
“It feels really good to be a part of Bridge Models at such an exciting time in the industry. I’m really pleased to have this opportunity and I hope to get my career underway.
I think that people jump straight to one conclusion when it comes to the phrase plus size. But it means many things and for women in modelling it’s about being curvier and for men, representing those that are broader. I’m really glad that companies are now catering for the larger man.”

Following a rigorous selection process, Brittany Wilborn, Camryn Henry, and Sharon Clawson emerged as the chosen winners. In January 2024, these models embarked on a transformative journey to Harbour Island, where they had the unparalleled opportunity to shoot alongside Denise under the expert direction of internationally acclaimed photographer and director, Ben Watts.
